The abalone sourced for our canned products carrying the ‘Dover’ brand is caught from the southern oceans off the coast of Australia. The southern waters of Australia are renown to produce the highest quality abalone fish in the world.
A variety of species and sizes are available for local & export distribution. Available species are the Greenlip, Blacklip & Roei, with sizes ranging from 1 to 14 pieces per can. Typical counts are usually 1-3 pieces and are packaged in either 12 or 24 cans per carton.
Each fish is individually inspected for its quality and careful procedures are followed to ensure only the healthiest fish are used. Our canned abalone can be purchased in either first or second grade.
The canned abalone has a long shelf life and is perfect for the home or restaurant chef as it is ready to eat by simply reheating for stir fry etc.
